Prerequisites: Keyboard is unplugged or the laptop is powered off
Goal
Remove crumbs and dust so keys travel cleanly, without liquid in the switches.
- Unplug a USB keyboard, or shut the laptop down.
- Turn it upside down and tap the back so loose debris falls out.
- Brush between keys with a dry, soft brush. Hold a compressed-air can upright if you use one.
- Only pull keycaps if you already know how they reseat on this board.
- Wipe the case with a barely damp cloth. Keep liquid off the switches.
